“With a regular 1A YoYo, thread wear is rarely something you need to think about. An Offstring YoYo, however, gets slammed into the floor what feels like a million times during its life.
That is exactly why we offer these replacement hubs. Repeated impacts can eventually wear out the threads, making the YoYo harder to screw together properly and securely. At that point you do not need to replace the entire YoYo – install a new hub and keep playing.”
Original replacement hubs → made for iYoYo SKYLiGHT and iCEBREAKER
For worn threads → exactly the kind of wear that can eventually occur after countless impacts during serious Offstring play
No need to replace the complete YoYo → if only the hub or its thread is worn, simply replace the affected component
A genuine 4A spare part → particularly useful for players whose Offstring YoYo regularly meets the floor, pavement or stage
4A / Offstring is a pretty demanding discipline for a YoYo.
Unlike normal string-trick play, the YoYo is not permanently attached to the string. Miss a catch and it hits the floor – and while learning new tricks, that certainly does not happen only once.
Over months and years, a heavily played Offstring YoYo can therefore take a huge number of hard impacts.
That stress affects not only the body but also the threaded connection. Eventually, the thread inside a hub can wear out, and the YoYo may no longer screw together as cleanly or securely as it did when new.
That is exactly why we offer the hubs separately as replacement parts.
If the rest of the YoYo body is still perfectly usable and only the thread inside a hub has worn, replacing the entire YoYo would make very little sense.
Install a replacement hub and continue playing your SKYLiGHT or iCEBREAKER.
There is no need to replace the hubs after a certain number of playing hours.
As long as your YoYo screws together properly and the threads engage securely, there is no reason to change anything.
These replacement hubs are intended for the point where a heavily played Offstring YoYo actually begins to show wear in its threaded connection after countless drops and impacts.
Please choose the correct replacement hub for your model when ordering.
If you are unsure which part you need, just tell us which YoYo you own and what exactly is no longer working properly.
No matter if you are a collector or competitor, old-school vintage yo-yo fan or new school, professional or beginner: iYoYo is your yo-yo - or as we Germans say: Dein YoYo.
