Axono Nexus – the stability monster gets a high-end upgrade

From Axono to Nexus

July YoYo did not simply make the original Axono a little wider. The concept went through several prototype rounds and received a significant structural upgrade. The body is now machined from 7075 aluminum, allowing thinner wall sections without sacrificing the necessary strength.

Combined with the stainless-steel rims, this creates a noticeably more powerful setup with excellent spin reserves – especially useful through long combos and horizontal play.

54 mm wide – but intelligently distributed

The width has grown to more than 54 mm. At the same time, the outer angles were revised to maximize the usable catch area. During large hops and fast tricks, you get a huge target for landing the string cleanly.

One particularly interesting design choice is the small hollow section between the stainless-steel rim and aluminum body. It helps optimize the mass distribution: strong stability and rim power without simply adding unnecessary weight where it would make the YoYo slow.

A true competition flagship

Axono Nexus feels noticeably larger and more powerful than the regular Axono, while the angular H-profile remains predictable and controlled.

If you liked the straightforward handling of the original but want more width and stronger spin reserves for modern competition tricks, Nexus is the logical high-end evolution.
