Why string thickness matters

A thinner string takes up less room inside the gap and often feels somewhat more direct. Thicker strings put more material into the system and change the feel of tricks such as slacks, whips and binds.

Which version works best depends on the YoYo, its gap and – most importantly – your personal preference. That is why testing them yourself is more useful than any one-size-fits-all recommendation.
