“Spinstar is one of my favorite recommendations for younger kids holding a YoYo for the very first time. At that stage, the goal is not to learn long combos or complicated Bind tricks as quickly as possible – the YoYo simply needs to work reliably and be fun.
That is exactly what Spinstar does well. It returns easily with a tug, it is lightweight and durable, yet it can still handle the first proper YoYo tricks. For kids under roughly eight years old, I often prefer this kind of simple setup over a much more demanding modern YoYo.”

Easy to start – but capable of real tricks

Instead of a conventional ball bearing, Spinstar uses a plastic bearing system. This keeps maintenance to a minimum and makes the YoYo highly responsive: a simple tug on the string brings it back to your hand.

That is especially useful for younger children. They can begin with classic up-and-down YoYo play and quickly develop a feel for rhythm and control. If additional response is needed, the string can also be played with an extra wrap around the bearing.

Despite its simple design, Spinstar is capable of much more. As the throw improves, beginners can move on to first proper tricks such as the Sleeper, Forward Pass, Walk the Dog and Around the World.
