Skyva 2 – the fingerspin legend is back

“To me, the original SKYVA was one of those YoYos that made fingerspins genuinely accessible to a huge number of players. That is why I like that Skyva 2 does not try to completely reinvent its personality.
Instead, the right details were improved: more mass toward the rims, slightly more width and the really comfortable NanoBlast finish. The iconic fingerspin hub is obviously still there. The result feels familiar – just with more power, a larger catch zone and more modern tuning.”

A classic – carefully modernized

Skyva 2 deliberately preserves the successful concept of the original. The shape, general play feel and especially the distinctive fingerspin hub remain instantly recognizable.

The important improvements are hidden in the details. Brass in the bearing-seat area was replaced with aluminum, allowing more than three grams of mass to be redistributed toward the outside, where it contributes more efficiently to power and stability.

More catch area, more reserves

The slightly wider profile makes string catches easier during fast mounts and more complex combos, while the additional rim weight helps Skyva 2 maintain stronger spin for longer.

This makes it more than a nostalgic re-release – it is a genuine update for modern unresponsive play.

NanoBlast: plastic does not have to feel cheap

SPINTEK developed a new NanoBlast finish for Skyva 2. The surface feels soft and refined, giving the polycarbonate body a noticeably more premium character.

Combined with modern molding technology, the result is an impressively smooth plastic YoYo that respects the legendary original without being stuck in the past.
