“iCEBERG is without a doubt one of the most important YoYos we have ever made at iYoYo. And I think the reason for its success is pretty simple: it combines two characteristics that normally do not go together.
The CNC-machined polycarbonate body keeps the center light and agile, while the dense stainless-steel rims move a lot of weight to the outside. The result is serious spin power and stability without making the YoYo feel slow or heavy. With the wider current version we increased the catch zone as well – while keeping exactly that fast, lively iCEBERG character.”
The defining feature of iCEBERG is its combination of a precision CNC-machined polycarbonate body and dense stainless-steel weight rims. Polycarbonate keeps the main body relatively light, while the density of stainless steel allows a large amount of mass to be positioned far out toward the rims.
The result feels much less like a traditional plastic YoYo and much more like a modern performance throw: lots of power, long spins and excellent stability on the string – combined with a surprisingly agile and lively feel.
For the current generation, we widened the original iCEBERG profile by almost 4 mm. The larger catch zone makes it easier to hit the string cleanly during complex mounts, hops and fast combos.
At the same time, we did not want to lose the character that made the original so popular. The new iCEBERG therefore remains fast, maneuverable and easy to control despite its extra width, while retaining the stability the model is known for.
The setup combines our string-centering Pixel Bearing with proven iRiNGS Response Pads. The bearing helps keep the string centered and reduces unwanted friction during long tricks, while the iRiNGS stay out of the way during your combos and deliver reliable Binds when you need them.
The fingerspin zone is also part of the design, making iCEBERG an extremely versatile modern throw for everything from classic 1A play to fingerspins and DNA.
No matter if you are a collector or competitor, old-school vintage yo-yo fan or new school, professional or beginner: iYoYo is your yo-yo - or as we Germans say: Dein YoYo.
iYoYo is the brand of European Champion Dave Geigle - aiming to "create yo-yos with top-notch quality at reasonable, fair and afforable prices. We want to see iYoYo in the hands of as many people as we can, not just in those of the wealthiest."
