“2A has always been my main division, so it bothered me for years that iYoYo did not have its own looping YoYo. The breakthrough came through Bill de Boisblanc, my former YoYoJam mentor and Sunset signature partner. His idea was to combine the proven Loop720 shape with the larger YoYoJam-style bearing setup.
After several prototypes, SUNRiSE was born. To me, it plays exactly the way a good looping YoYo should: controllable, fast, slightly bouncy at the end of the string and with enough spin for long 2A combos.”
SUNRiSE was created through a collaboration between iYoYo, YoYoFactory and Bill de Boisblanc. It uses the proven YoYoFactory Loop720 shape combined with a specially adapted Size-B bearing and custom spacer setup.
The concept came from Bill de Boisblanc, Dave’s long-time friend and mentor from the YoYoJam days. Together, they had previously worked on the legendary Sunset Trajectory, the looping YoYo Dave used for many of his 2A titles.
SUNRiSE is not about overwhelming you with endless axles, spacers and response combinations. The setup is designed to work well straight out of the box and provide a consistent, predictable looping feel.
The combination of Starburst response and Size-B bearing delivers a direct return while still providing enough spin. One of its defining characteristics is the slightly bouncy feel at the end of the string, which helps maintain rhythm through repeated loops.
At 51.63 g, SUNRiSE stays light and fast enough for quick looping sequences while still offering enough stability and sleeper time for more advanced tricks, transitions and two-handed 2A combinations.
This makes it a strong choice both for players seriously getting into looping and for experienced 2A players who want a simple, reliable setup.
